HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND TIFFANY & CO HONOR ARCHIVAL
EVENING COMMITTEE AND ARTISTRY OF PALOMA PICASSO
PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 24, 2004) –
Jeffrey Bateman, vice-president of Tiffany & Co. and
the Historical Society of Palm Beach County, paid tribute
to the benefit committee of the Historical Society’s
2003 Archival Evening with an intimate luncheon featuring
designer Paloma Picasso.
Guests included Emilia Fanjul, Danielle Hickox,
Don Ponton, Jean Tailer, George Elmore, Steven Stolman,
Brantley and Peter Knowles, Sandra Krakoff and Frances Scaife.
Each person had the opportunity to preview Boldly Admired,
the newest addition to Picasso’s Tiffany & Co.
jewelry collection. Picasso, the fourth child of the famous
20th Century artist Pablo Picasso, was literally destined
to become a designer, inspired by her exposure to all aspects
of art from an early age. In the 1980s she launched, Paloma
Picasso, which includes designer fashion accessories
and a perfume line.
The Historical Society’s annual Archival
Evening honors individuals whose lives, legacies and accomplishments
have helped shape the history of Palm Beach. This year’s
committee, chaired by Steven Stolman with vice-chair Maureen
Basse, brought together over 100 guests to pay tribute to
the legacy of famed Palm Beach society photographer, Betty
Kuhner. Kuhner, through creativity and the power of a lens,
was able to capture the lifestyles of Palm Beach’s
most notable families, documenting the spontaneity of family
life in natural settings.
