we have done at the Historical Society of Palm Beach County would
be possible without support from members of our community.
By becoming a Member, you can show your enthusiasm for history
and offer valuable financial support to the work of the Society,
including educational programs, the archival research., and
artifact preservation.
How can you become involved?
You can become a Member with an annual donation of as little
as $50. You money will go directly toward the important
work of preserving our history and making available the
priceless records of our County’s past. Join now
to begin receiving the regular notices of Historical
Society activities and events. What will you receive?
As a member, you will receive invitations
to all lectures and programs sponsored by the Historical Society
of Palm Beach County. In addition to invitations you will
receive free research sessions in the archives, a discount
on Society publications, and a subscription to newsletter,
which will come to you three times a year, keeping you up to
date on the exciting activities of the Society. Each year
the Society holds an informative Annual Meeting at a significant
historic site within Palm Beach County.
Board of Benefactors – $2,500 & above
The success of any organization rests with strong leadership commitments to its mission. While enjoying the ever-growing list of membership benefits, Benefactors will be provided with special events that will expand their understanding and appreciation of historically significant individuals and events. In addition, members are listed on the Society’s letterhead.
Pioneer Circle – $1,000
Recognizing the challenges of our forefathers, serve as a Pioneer in the Society’s continued growth and impact on the County. Pioneer benefits include educational programs and complimentary tickets to the annual Evening on Antique Row.
Flagler Circle – $500
Henry Flagler was a visionary – you can be one, too, by supporting the Society at this important level. Lectures, special events and a distinguished publication by a noted local author mark this forward-thinking category.
Mizner Circle – $250
Addison Mizner changed the face of Palm Beach County and you can too, with support of the Society. You will also receive a print of a historic photograph from the Society’s Archive.
Barefoot Mailman – $125
Imagine trekking from Jupiter to Miami– continue the journey through your membership and learn more about our county through your complimentary subscription to South Florida History Magazine, lectures and special events.
Family/Dual – $75
Learn how our county was shaped, and meet others through a variety of events and visit a unique historical venue at the Annual Meeting, with one other family member throughout the year.
Individual – $50
Your support of the Society allows you to meet others who share your interest in history, along with an inside view of a historically significant property at our Annual Meeting.

Corporate membership are available on an annual basis

levels starting at $250.
Support the Society by adopting an artifact, underwriting

Donate Items to the Collections
Has your family been in Palm Beach County
for more than one generation? Donate family photos, journals,
clothing, etc. and become a part of history. For information
about donations, please contact Debi Murray, Director of Research

Please note the Historical Society will not be accepting donations to the archives until we open the History museum in March 2008.

College and University Internships are available to qualified students. The Society collaborates with Florida Atlantic University, Florida State University and other interested Universities.
Tours
The Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum will be open beginning March 16, 2008 on Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10:00 to 5:00 and Sundays from 1:00 to 5:00. Groups who wish to take a docent led tour should make reservations through Paula Marcus, Coordinator of Volunteers and Tours at (561) 832-4164 ext. 110 or e-mail pmarcus@historicalsocietypbc.org. Tours will last roughly one hour.
