The Historical Society of Palm Beach County welcomed the Lantana Cadet Squadron, Civil Air Patrol, to a private viewing of "War in Florida Waters 1942 - 1943: Eyes of the Home Skies," the recently opened exhibit at the Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum.

02/23/10 - "WAR IN FLORIDA WATERS 1942 -1943: EYES OF THE HOME SKIES" EXHIBIT OPENS AT THE RICHARD AND PAT JOHNSON PALM BEACH COUNTY HISTORY MUSEUM
"War in Florida Waters 1942-193, Eyes of the Home Skies" commemorates the history of Civil Air Patrol Coastal Patrol 3: Puddle Jumpers of Lantana. The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) worked to fill the wartime void by providing small civilian airplanes for anti-submarine patrols along the coast until the military could take over the mission.
