Palm Beach County has an interesting and diverse history. To pass on this history to teachers, the following organizations have partnered to create a week-long history institute, Historical Society of Palm Beach County, Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach, Flagler Museum, Loxahatchee River Historical Society, Spady Cultural Heritage Museum, and the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens.
Each day teachers visit and learn about a different area of our county. Participating teachers who complete all requirements can receive up to 30 in-service points from the School District of Palm Beach County. Teachers will receive a certificate of participation which will be presented on the last day of training.
The history institute is limited to 25 Palm Beach County educators who teach grades K-12 on a first come, first served basis. There is a $25.00 non-refundable registration fee. Space is limited; enroll today so you don't miss this great opportunity.
